Cooks Kitchen and Bath

As you can see from the before and after, this kitchen was a gally layout, walled off from the rest of the room.  The wall was removed to create a spacious and open result.  The new island is, not only a focal point for the room but also a huge new space for gathering and preparation.  The workspace is flanked by floor to ceiling storage.  Each cabinet is now serving its purpose, being designated for a specific use.  Some appear as cabinets but they conceal an appliance, which is why you don’t see the dishwasher.  On the right side is the hidden fridge (note the bottom drawer).  The central work space is efficient and accessible.  The stylish, recovered wood, shelves are perfect for keeping the counter space clear; allowing for a decorative touch.
