Cooks Kitchen and Bath

After removing a peninsula, the plumbing was re-routed to make way for the new island, here.  This lovely and open kitchen is a gorgeous new space for this family.  The room is somehow bigger than before even though no walls were moved this time.  We kept the original breakfast nook but now the island makes a good stopping point to share in conversation as well as food.  The new wine storage is close, but not in the way, and the tile backsplash, which goes to the ceiling, has a beautiful herringbone accent that draws the eyes back to center.  Now, the traffic flow in this kitchen opens into the family room in more than one spot, to allow for greater openness than before.  The homeowners just love how this new space has turned out.
